About Us
The Old Attic was founded from a simple idea: bringing unique and hard-to-find products to Suriname. What began as a small collection of carefully selected items started with just a single display case featuring lighters and jewelry. Operating from an abandoned shop with no doors, no air conditioning, and very limited resources, every step forward was built through determination, hard work, and a passion for offering something different.
Growing Through Challenges
Gifting since 2023
As customer interest grew, so did the challenges. Expanding from a small startup into a fully established business required constant adaptation, long hours, and countless decisions. Every obstacle became an opportunity to improve, helping shape The Old Attic into the destination it is today.

One of the defining moments in The Old Attic's journey came during its grand re-opening. The overwhelming support from customers, friends, and the wider community confirmed that the vision behind the store resonated with people. What started as a small display of products had become something much greater—a place where people could discover unique items, share interests, and feel at home.
Looking Toward the Future
As the business continued to grow, customers frequently requested a second location in the south of Suriname. Thanks to the continued support of the community, that vision became a reality. Today, with two locations serving customers across the country, The Old Attic remains committed to the same goal that inspired its beginnings: offering unique products, exceptional service, and an experience that keeps customers coming back for more.
